Opening Line WK #4 KC Only (-3) vs Balt? SQUARE thinking tells me jump on this...especially at -102 vig...I don't want to be a SQUARE forever...What factors am I missing that either make this a "No Play" or Balt. play? Thanks...CB

Not sure buddy, but a good rule of thumb would be skip it, if it looks to good

BALTIMOres defense has been playing very well. and baltimore is also running at will. kc's offense cant score points if they arent on the field.

another factor to consider is that priest holmes used to be a raven, so they know him, and his tendencies on the field.

one last thing, is that this is k.c.'s second week in a row on the road.

i know this isnt much, but i hope it helps.

This is one of those lines where I'd imagine the average Joe Q Public bettor will be all over KC. Considering the Chiefs' margin of victory thus far, seems like a no brainer. That alone makes me jump on the Ravens.

This was the only preliminary line to jump out at me this week ... Baltimore coming off a strong road win, going home, two straight road games for KC ... the Chiefs are good, but they aren't 4-0 kinda good.

WOW, Thanks Everyone! These are the things I am still missing, but it is easier to search if you know what you are looking for. Thanks again for the guidance...I was going to make this my first play, but perhaps will look for better value elsewhere. Even if I do go with it, I will have looked deeper than usual thanks to you guys!!

xpanda hit it right. KC has blown the spread away 3 straight weeks and have scored over 30 two straight weeks. They're due down and this is the second road game for them. Remember in the Pitt game KC got two defensive / special teams TDS. This is the best D they'll face. I think Trent Green is in for a long day.

priest also banged up and may see less time I hear. Without him, KC is much weaker.

Even if Priest were 100%, don't forget that he was a Raven just a couple of seasons ago. Baltimore will know how to handle him.

PLUS ... KC goes home to face Denver next week. Much bigger game than this one. V. Baltimore they can afford to lose ... v. Denver they cannot. That said, I like Detroit +12.5 for the same reason.

This is my favourite play this week, and my local sports lottery (who is notorious for dramatically moving lines) has KC -6.5. Thank you very much.

Even the announcers are on to some of these situations. One announcer was commenting on the fact that it was a close game when he also mentioned this is a "tweener" game for KC, meaning that it was in between tough games. xpanda mentioned that KC will be playing Denver next week.

Final score in this game is KC 17, Bal 10.

Thanks Again for all the input!! I did not play this game...to confusing, and to many differing opinions on the board. I played WAS, based on New England's defensive injuries, and WAS offense. Other plays, were CINN ML, good value, and CINN has looked good on D of late. Last play was GB, no real logic here, just felt that Favre and Green would be "money" on Monday night. Good first week...But realize I have quite alot to learn. Again, I really appreciate everyone taking the time to post...
